Filled with gas and oil and it started right up. Changing the height of the front wheels is not as easy as on other mowers I have but the back wheels are fine.

Mows very well and I would recommend it. I've mowed my 1 acre yard several times. I do not have to stop and refill gas. One pull start as promised. A good machine with no idle.

This review was collected as part of a promotion. This is a good machine and I like most of its features however it does not idle so every time you let go of the throttle it turns off, which means you have to restart, and it does not pull freely in the middle of the mowing process so it needs to be cleared out and the drive wheels disengaged in order to start it. Several pulls later it's off and running. Stop to talk to someone, move some debris whatever do not let go of the throttle. A breeze to handle and cut around contours even with my 85'x200' fenced in lot.

The only improvement to this fine mower would be to engineer "change on the fly" controls for the caster wheels as my old Honda featured. I did have to call Cub for replacements of a poorly threaded screw (probably made in China) that hold the handle in place and I've had some issues with the bar and spring that holds the rear door open but they were also minor. Easy pull starts as advertised.

Huge bag and easy to unload. I bought this a year ago and it is awesome. The caster wheels are the best. I love the my speed drive control. I have found that it doesn't have the power to cut super super dense and long grass, but I wouldn't expect it to.

This thing is an amazing value. The way that the bag attaches is not the best. The whole area around where the bag meets the mower is poorly designed. That whole area gets clogged with grass clippings and I have had the bag fall off numerous times. A redesign of that and this mower would get a full 5 stars from me. Right now it's at about a 4. I've had this mower for over a year now, and I love it. I had a cub cadet riding mower, but moved to a house with a smaller yard, so I got this lawn mower to handle the yard. Absolutly zero issues, and I will own all Cub Cadet mowers until i die. I have been using this mower for 5 years.

Use canned ethanol-free fuel with stabilizers and spray the idle linkage with WD40 and this will run every time. Change oil by tipping over to pour out the filler pipe into a pot. With flat land, this is a joy to steer around like a Zamboni, but not so much for tight maneuvers.

I don't give it highest marks because of lack of easy independent wheel height adjustments. I would like to see taller rear wheels. Can turn on a dime and the front wheels never leave the ground. Very easy to use in tight spaces.

At that time all I wanted was a mower to cut grass i did not know at that time what i was about to get into. With what I know now this mower would be grand slam with a 4.5 inch cut hight.

Nicest mower I've ever owned. Bought the mower over 3 years ago , and the body , where the caster wheels attach has cracks on both sides , cuts unevenly and the cracks are getting worse. So we bought another cub without the caster wheels. Is this design a defect. I like the performance overall.
