John Deere Walk-Behind Mower JS46 190CC 8.75 HP Self Propel Not Working

  
Please view pictures & parts diagram for problem with self-propelled. Mower is too bulky for me anyway. Will push mow & has a very strong motor. Can repair or use for parts?

Shaft is loose going into transmission for self-propel option. Has cord for battery & key for ignition. Possible battery will need replaced. Side discharge output cover & detachable grass catcher.
